About the Leather

Horween Basketball Leather: This is the exact leather used for official NBA basketballs – Horween has been the official supplier for the NBA’s game ball leather. It’s an orange-brown full-grain leather with the iconic basketball pebble grip. Brand new, it starts out a bit slick and firm (just like a new game ball), but with use it softens and develops more grip and character as it breaks in. Extremely tough and made to professional standards, it carries a bit of sports history in every piece.
